This diner used to be the Local Diner, like the one in Coppell not far from here. The menu, decor, and layout pretty much remained the same since the name change, and the quality of the food certainly didn't change, either. And that's a good thing. I have only eaten here twice since the changeover, and they didn't skip a beat. The food, service, and number of selections are all still at the high bar that was set here before. The last meal I had here was the Protein Breakfast, during a week I was doing the Carnivore Diet for some quick weight drop. This was a very tasty meal, and all of it was cooked perfectly - the bacon was crisp, the sausage was tender, and the eggs were done just right. Service was cheerful and I got to use what bit of Korean I remember from my time over there. The ladies working the counter seemed to appreciate it, and they were as hospitable as can be. It was good to see that this place carried on successfully.
Great little gem. If you find yourself near DFW Airport and want good food and great service this is the place. Comprehensive menu, reasonable prices. Ask for Rhonda and you will not be disappointed. Super friendly, always ready with a smile.
After living in Irving for 10 years..... place was good. I enjoyed the environment. Staff was extremely friendly and food was good as well. Would go again.
Flipping amazing! Randomly stopped by Sunday for a late breakfast the menu was great lots of options in fact so many I had a hard time choosing!! Had the smothered burritos and the chili oh that chili!! It was so good we also had the strawberry pancakes and of course a giant cinnamon roll! I've been telling everybody about it it was so good I can't wait to get back!!
Very retro and cool diner to eat breakfast at. The atmosphere brings you back in time almost like a time machine. A well balanced black and white colour combination gives pleasant feeling. Nice wall decoration and photographs on the wall. The place is clean and nice place. One of the restaurants staff greeted and welcomed with warmest and allocated me a table. She brought me menu with a sparkling smile and asked me for drinks. I ordered garden omelette with French toast. Everything was good in portion and tasted good. I will definitely return when I come back in town! Thank you Irving Diner for providing a wonderful experience!
